Tag-It!
XMP metadata opens up the possibilities of capturing information about our designs and embedding the information within the image at the time of creation. This information now travels with the image and is maintained throughout the lifecycle of that image and product through a single point of entry. XMP metadata, which embeds information, while reducing time, work and mistakes, is extremely powerful.
Adding XMP metadata to each image individually can take time, especially if the same information is applicable to multiple images.

Tag-It! from E-Spec allows you to select multiple images, enter in the pertinent information and then automatically embed the information as metadata to all the selected images. Based upon the values entered and your business rules, the images are then routed to where they need to go; to business systems, e-commerce site, PLM or PDM systems, or around the organization. Tag-It! will even create new directory trees to put these images in automatically based upon your rules.
XMP metadata can then be used for searching, cataloging, or feeding to other systems or users who access that digital file. As the information is updated, the updates follow the image and flow accordingly to your business rules.
The information captured is determined by you. What information is important to your organization? The metadata can be anything from a simple description to a complete listing of the creative work. The type of data can be free text, date and time, selections from a pre-defined list, or even a reference to an external list from a file or database.
